What We’re Wearing

Valentine’s Day Dates

Cupid couldn’t even
dress this well

Valentine’s Day is on Monday, and you’re ready for your dategifts are wrapped, reservations are made, flowers have been ordered. What else is there? Well, depending on where dinner is, you have to dress the part.

Piece of advice: dress in layers just in case you get chilly, and if your partner does too. It always looks good whenever you're prepared for anything. Pick out a foolproof outfit—we're thinking neutral tones, amazing fit and some solid shoes.

Starting up top, this cashmere cardigan is a fine knit, but gives off a nice formal unstructured blazer look that can be paired with anything. Moving down to the shoes, let your date know that you're serious about them, and nothing says that better than a sharp pair of loafers. Novelty underwear isn't sexy, but some hearts on your socks? That's endearing. Don't forget about the fragrance. This can make or break the chemistry. If it's your first date (you brave, brave man) you want the person to remember you, and if you want to take things to the next level, smelling great is half the battle.
