The Mac jacket gleaned its name from Mackintosh, the British coat maker who invented the process of rubberizing cotton to give it waterproof qualities. Decades later, the brand's familiar single-breasted trench coat silhouette can be seen all over the place. From designer lines to more accessible interpretations from bigger retailers, it's a staple that's ideal for days when there's a chance of showers. Made from a coated cotton, they add a durable storm flap collar and slash pockets on the side. It's also partially lined in a smart tattersall fabric.
