Perhaps because it's the first week back after Labor Day—the unofficial start of fall—or because fashion week is starting up today, but I've got this feeling like its the first week of school. Which, for me, always meant new shoes. This fall, I'll be pulling on a pair of chocolate suede shoes. Both the color and texture is rich and supple, which makes for a perfect pairing to the season's coming clothes. They work with anything from off duty corduroy blazers and jeans to more dressed up flannel trousers and cashmere sweaters. Plus they won't show as much dirt or stains as sand or caramel colored suede. And whether you're a desert boot type or favor a more gentlemanly loafer, there's a style for you.
