Having a Moment

An

Old Hand

Odds are, if you've ever played a hand, the deck was by Bicycle. The company, which has been crafting cards for more than a century, began in Ohio after the founders purchased a handful of printing presses from the Cincinnati Enquirer. Soon they were producing 1,600 decks a day and the cards were being shuffled from New York to Las Vegas. To celebrate Bicycle's 125th anniversary, the company has produced a limited edition deck of vintage card designs in two classically American colors—red and blue. Perfect timing, considering the love modern men have for the current Victorian revival. Which may be why designers like Alexander McQueen recently contributed to a do-gooder deck benefitting London's Shelter charity.
