Adidas Originals
x The Soloist

Takahiro Miyashita is a lauded Japanese designer who is known for his lines Number (N)ine and The Soloist. Adidas Originals is the sneaker company's way of giving a fresh take on the brand's classic kicks—most notably giving avant-garde designer Jeremy Scott the opportunity to put things like teddy bears and angel wings on a pair of shoes. For their latest collaboration, they tapped Miyashita to put his take on a few iconic silhouettes, including the timeless menswear favorite, the Rod Laver. The result is a collection of understated sneakers that really let the luxe suede speak for itself. They're simple sure, but from a design standpoint, they give off a quiet, confident elegance. Plus, we're talking about a guy whose products regularly run upwards of $600. Scoring a piece of his work like this for much less ... it's like buying wearable art for a bargain. The collection hits adidas.com today, but act fast. These won't be around long.

Basket Profi, $160

Styling Tip

The monochromatic grey Rod Laver goes as well with jeans and crisp khakis as it does with a navy suit.
