Shinola Muhammad Ali Collection

A selection of all-American goods in homage to The Greatest.

Each year, Shinola salutes one of the brand's heroes with its Great Americans timepiece series and for 2015, they're celebrating the life and legacy of the man formerly known as Cassius Clay. Shinola's president, Jacques Panis, says that the collection was inspired by Ali's six core principles: confidence, conviction, respect, dedication, giving and spirituality. The star of the collection is the limited-edition watch. Featuring an old school squared-off stainless steel cushion case with a luxe alligator strap, it's housed in a custom hickory box with three rare (and signed) photo prints by photographer Thomas Hoepker.

Other items include a natty hooded robe by Sleepy Jones and leather boxing gloves so handsome, you could hang them up as art. But our favorite piece is probably the cherry red Arrow bike, in reference to how a scrawny boy from Louisville, Kentucky became the heavyweight champion of the world. When 12-year-old Cassius Clay's bike was stolen, he swore to the police he'd beat up whoever stole it. One of the officers, Joe Martin, who also trained boxers at a local gym, told Clay, "You better learn how to box first."
