Converse's Coolest Collaboration of 2017

Earlier this month, Converse and Engineered Garments announced their new collaborative line of One Star sneakers, playing on designer Daiki Suzuki's love for reinventing and reengineering classics.

Why the One Star? Suzuki put it this way: "The Chuck Taylor, for us, is a perfect shoe that we weren't sure we could add or subtract to, its remained almost unchanged all this time," he says. "But the One Star was a canvas we thought could be mined to create something new."

Converse x Engineered Garments One Star,
$110 in black, olive and white

Crafted in premium leathers with monochromatic colorways (complete with tonal soles and flat woven laces), each pair features slight variations on the classic One Star logo—two on the left shoe, two on the right. It's the kind of subtle subversion we've come to expect from Suzuki and Engineered Garments. And it makes these rather affordable sneakers look and feel a whole lot more special.

And while they were initially only being sold in-store at Nepenthes in New York City, they're now available online at Need Supply Co. But we have a feeling they won't last long.
