As I write this, snow is still falling on New York and I want to be pulling on this ridiculously soft and comfortable cardigan. The hefty shawl collar and hidden placket would make it dressy enough to pair with a flannel shirt and khakis for casual business meetings and the color is light enough to get me through those first few cool weekends at the beach. Yes, it's expensive, but since it's made from heavy gauge cashmere flecked with camel hair, the luxe coverup will last decades.

The cardigan was named after James Brudenell, 7th Earl of Cardigan, a British military commander.
