Who says you can't judge a book by its cover? Not Eric Jacobsen and Ben Pieratt, the two rendering verdicts at the recently launched Book Cover Archive. Under the tagline, "for the purpose of appreciation and categorization," the gallery-like site is home to a constantly growing cover collection, ranging from classic novels to new releases. As the information age rears its head, allowing lit fixes from Kindles, iPhones or Google, book design is often overlooked. Pieratt says, "By providing ourselves and the rest of the industry with a resource like this, we hope we're contributing to a discipline for which we have so much respect." - Karen Castens
