The best strategies
for getting the most
out of Amazon’s 2-day sale
Typically, Amazon Prime Day occurs during the middle of the summer, but in 2020—a year that's anything but typical—it was delayed. Now it'll run today and tomorrow and while the deals will continue to drop, we've pulled together a few of the first items worth checking out. Of course, there are plenty of ways to get the most out of this long-awaited sale.
This is the first year that the retail behemoth will be promoting small businesses, allowing you to score deals on brands and products that you can feel good supporting. And to get the most savings, consider the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature credit card. It gives you 5% cash back every time you shop on the site, order Amazon Fresh deliveries or get groceries at Whole Foods. And during the Prime Days, you'll score up to 25% back.
Yes, it's largely a members-only sale: if you don't have an Amazon Prime subscription, now's the time to take advantage of their free month trial (and get complimentary one- or two-day shipping while you're at it). But there will be plenty of discounts this year available to anyone. And don't assume just because it's Prime Day, that Amazon has the best price. Both Target's Deal Days and Walmart's Big Save are launching today to compete. Here's what we're considering and we'll be updating this page over the next 48 hours.
