The New Affordable Men's Brand
From a Surprising Source
You might've heard that Target was working on a line of affordable menswear and if you were like me, you probably ignored it. Well the brand, Goodfellow & Co., launched over the weekend and I just happened to be at Target to check it out. I don't usually shop for menswear with a bag of tortilla chips and a tube of toothpaste in hand, but I have to say, I was impressed with what I saw. So impressed that I left with a denim shirt and am considering the lightweight bomber as well. Is the quality of the clothes outstanding? Of course not. Honestly, it can't be at this price point. But it's clear a lot of thought and effort went into creating a line of simple staples that were as stylish as they were affordable. Mark Tritton, Target's executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, echoes the thought. "Turns out that men come to Target to buy ... underwear," he says. So they created Goodfellow & Co. with a focus on the modern fits, stylish details and comfortable fabrics guys are looking for today. All at prices that top out out at $79.99. The first push is available in store and online now with heavier fall styles and outerwear to come.
