This isn't your average cotton blazer. If you look closely, you can see that this doesn't have any darts often found on most modern sport coats. They're easy to miss, but the thin stitching that runs from the chest to hip indicates fabric has been removed to nip in the waist for a more tailored fit. But as things get more relaxed and silhouettes widen, this jacket cuts out the darts (not unlike the mid-century American “sack suits”). Plus, it's cut from organic cotton-twill that's been garment-dyed and washed for a rich color and a soft hand feel. In short, this might be the perfect blue blazer for summer.

This is the unofficial shirt of summer fun. A knit polo, especially in a textured boucle cotton blend fabric, just feels relaxed and cool. And this one, from Todd Snyder, is inspired by '60s cabana sweater polos that's light enough to layer up despite the heat. Wear it over a tank on the weekend or under a jacket for a slick summer wedding fit.

Quality sunglasses don't have to be offensively expensive. One of the best buys for summer are a pair of Huckberry's Cruiser shades. They've got everything you want in sunglasses. They're lightweight yet durable, and offer full coverage with scratch-resistant, polarized lenses. Plus, the temples guard the exterior of the hinge for added protection in case they take a tumble. Oh and the microfiber carrying pouch doubles as a lens cleaner. All for just 35 bucks.

Some swim trunks are cool enough to wear far from the water. And these are one of those pairs. The silhouette is clean and the inseam hits right at that six-inch sweet spot. Plus, the oil-slick spattered print is psychedelic without being too loud. You'd be surprised how often you could wear these, but even if you just wear them to the pool, the price point makes sense.
