We're big fans of vintage mid-century furniture. The high prices of genuine antiques? That we're less thrilled about. So we were excited to discover this wall-mounted shelf from Article. Constructed of solid and veneered walnut wood (much like they did in the '60s), this set has four shelves at various distances to accommodate a range of items and a large cabinet for extra hidden storage (plus, the top adds a fifth shelf into the mix). What's more, it ties into other Newbury items from the brand so you can build it into a modular entertainment center or workspace.

What's better than a waxed canvas jacket? A waxed canvas jacket with a handsome Black Watch tartan plaid pattern. Featuring a classic corduroy collar and patched shoulders, along with a quilted poly lining for added warmth, it boasts several gusseted exterior pockets and a handy interior chest pocket for a phone or wallet. But even more importantly, the waxed coating and brass buttons will develop a beautiful, custom patina over time.

This candle doesn't smell like weed. Despite being the latest edition to Seth Rogen's canabis brand, Houseplant, this dual-wick candle, Rogen says, “brings together a supergroup of warm, earthy, sunny, California scents to create something new, yet totally familiar.” There are notes of smoked birch wood and warm spices like cardamom and nutmeg, making it ideal for this time of year.

We're now fully in layering season. Make sure that your wardrobe is stocked. Wrangler, of course, makes some of the best denim shirts, but don't sleep on their other items. Like this twill overshirt, cut from a natural, undyed cotton twill. It's finished with tonal buttons, oversized chest pockets and some hidden side pockets. It will only get softer and more comfortable the more you wash and wear it.

You know what's better than a standard thermal? One that's made from super soft cashmere. This one, from Quince, is not only shockingly affordable but knit from 100% Grade-A Mongolian cashmere, which is incredibly long-lasting and three times as warm as wool. Quince is also transparent about its manufacturing process and these sweaters are produced in BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) certified factories which aim to improve working conditions throughout the supply chain. The Valet. team has road-tested these and have found that they're not only incredibly cozy, but are surprisingly durable, given the price.
