Here's the thing about fashion and style in 2018, there's such a distinct DGAF attitude that it's made a lot of the stuff that was once uncool feel fresh and decidedly cool again. Case in point: the fanny pack. Today, the low-profile carryall goes by many monikers—a bum bag, belt bag, hip bag, cross-body or sling pack. Let's all admit that this thing's biggest problem is its ever-changing name. But they've come a long way from the summer vacations of your youth, the infamous early photo of The Rock or when Jerry Seinfeld quipped "It looks like your belt is digesting a small animal."
Today, the coolest guys we know have embraced them and you can't scroll through a street style gallery without seeing a few hanging from the shoulders of influential insiders. Whether they're crafted from luxe leathers by a high-end fashion house or built from durable nylon by a skate or outdoor brand, they're all meant to be worn the same way. Slung over your shoulder and worn snug against your body. These are not low-hanging messenger bags or slouchy totes—there's a more athletic, more masculine vibe to these streamlined cross-body packs. Not to mention, they come in handy too. Like feeling free and unconstricted in your clothes? The ability to empty your pockets and securely stash you phone, keys and other small EDC items will make a man-bag believer out of any naysayer.
