Designer Steven Alan is known for his understated style. He's got a knack for making things that are both beautiful and simple. The trick seems to be crafting items from quality materials and focusing on the little details, which result in pieces that are as comfortable as they are cool. Mindful and introspective, he and his team put a lot of thought and care into everything they release. Which is why our interest was immediately piqued when we saw that the brand was releasing their own watches. Alan himself is a vintage watch fan, so after a lot of research and development, they engineered a watch that is classic and subtle in style, but still has every attribute a watch shopper would be looking for: A water resistant case (in steel or gold plating) with a simple face, 21 jewel automatic movement and a shell cordovan leather band. And best of all, they clock in under $300. You'd be hard-pressed to find a watch of this quality near that price.
