Pour rum, coconut cream and pineapple juice in blender. Add ice. Blend for 15 seconds. Pour into a glass and garnish with some fruit (plastic sword optional).

As if you needed a reason to drink this weekend, allow us to make the case for a classic Pina Colada. The tropical cocktail is celebrating a birthday—it was introduced 56 years ago this week at the Caribe Hilton's Beachcomber Bar in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Since its heyday, the frothy frozen concoction has slowly been relegated to something of a guilty pleasure. Which is a shame, considering that it's one of the more delicious drinks you can enjoy on a warm day. Go ahead and fire up the blender.
