“Bad Boys For Life”
+ a Mojito Cocktail

Bad Boys For Life movie and a mojito cocktail

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence return to theaters as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett in Bad Boys For Life. The franchise's original installment premiered 25 years ago, and was followed by a popular sequel in 2003. Now, the boys are back for "one more mission" after Lawrence's character decides he wants to retire from all the action-packed detective work. The finale focuses on a drug cartel in Miami and a new hotshot unit the partners have to work with in order to take them down.

Reviews are starting to roll in and, perhaps somewhat shockingly, they're pretty good. The film currently holds a very respectable 76% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and is being praised in reviews for delivering "slam-bam fun" in a "nostalgic treat with heart." Vulture's Bilge Ebiri even said he's "not entirely opposed to the idea of a fourth Bad Boys entry. Whatcha gonna do?" I'll tell you what I'm going to do. Down a mojito or two and then give this throwback action flick a chance.

Esquire Mojito Cocktail Recipe

Miami loves its Cuban influences, especially when it comes to beverages. If this traditional Cuban highball was good enough for someone battling the heat of Havana 100 years ago, then the Mojito is good enough for us right now. Esquire has a little history and an easy-to-follow recipe with a reminder to always use fresh mint. The most underrated part? The therapeutic process of making one from scratch—put a little elbow grease into that muddler.
