The New Shoes on Our Radar

The footwear we want to wear this spring

Spring is in full effect. Hopefully you’ve been able to shed a bit of seasonal depression, with some vitamin D and more opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. If you’re still in a rut, maybe a new pair of kicks can liven up your mood or closet. From a camp shoe that was inspired 86 years ago to a legendary architecture/furniture company’s first ever collaboration, there’s a lot to like right now. With so many great shoes dropping these days, we thought we’d pull a few of our current favorites to showcase. These are the footwear our team can’t stop talking about.

Suede
Chukka Boot

This is the second collaboration between the American clothier and legendary Irish shoemaker, and they always produce well-made boots to wear in any season. Alex Mill focuses on enduring style and Padmore & Barnes has been handcrafting timeless boots and shoes since the 1930s, so the two seem to complement each other. They've created a classic two-eyelet chukka in colorways made exclusively for Alex Mill. Each pair is hand-stitched using a premium suede and a natural gum sole. The boot comes with two pairs of laces: one neutral, one bold so you can change out depending on how flashy you feel.

Approach Shoe

This hairy suede sneaker from Clearweather is one of my favorites for spring. It's the perfect technical sneaker that features a 4-way stretch mesh bootie and nylon pull tab to help keep your foot nice and snug throughout the day, and the Vibram outsole gives it a functionality to take these on morning hikes. These will look great with relaxed denim or a pair of faded green fatigues.

Textured
Camp Shoe

Todd Snyder has done it again with this L.L. Bean collab. These shoes were introduced back in 1936 by Leon Leonwood Bean (Mr. L.L. himself) and he compared the comfortability to a pair of authentic Indian moccasins. Fast forward 86 years and Todd Snyder has updated them with a contemporary sensibility and quality materials. A tonal, textural full-grain leather upper that molds to your foot after each wear and a traditional rubber sole with grooves for added traction makes for an amazingly adaptive shoe no matter where you are.

Club C 85 x
Eames Sneaker

Leave it to a transcendent sneaker like the Club C 85 from Reebok to get Eames Office to do their first ever footwear collaboration. The classic sneakers and world-renowned architecture and furniture company really hit it out of the park with these fresh and well-designed sneakers. The stripped down look really coincides with Eames' aesthetic vision, featuring luxe garment leather and a soft terry lining. A woven Eames label and custom sockliner gives you a distinctive vibe that elevates your day-to-day style.

OG Epoch
LX Sneaker

There's nothing quite like warm weather and some OG Vans, right? This pair comes in a nice suede grey that compliments any outfit and will look even better with a little bit of wear and tear on them. Wear these with some navy twill chinos and a denim jacket for an All-American spring look.
