Officers from the first and second World Wars wore double-breasted coats over their uniforms.

How to Wear It

These coats actually look a little better when they're slightly relaxed and worn a bit oversized. Think of how guys like Bradley Cooper and John Legend are sporting them these days. Thankfully, many designers are cutting them a bit roomier now.

What to Look for

You can't go wrong with navy, black or grey, but don't be afraid of a little color.
