Better Socks Equal Better Days
There’s a psychological boost that comes with pulling on some new socks
I've been padding around the house for weeks now, almost exclusively in socks. I'm guessing you have too. And maybe it was my lack of shoes or perhaps I just wore out my favorite pairs pacing around my apartment worrying about the current state of the world, but I realized that many of my socks were looking a bit worse for wear. After all, our everyday socks get worn (and washed) a lot. That's why it's important to invest in quality pairs.
But it's even more important to re-up your collection now and then. That way, your sock drawer stays in peak condition and you can continually enjoy the psychological boost that comes with pulling on a fresh pair of socks. Trust me, it's the little things—like comfortable socks without holes that stay up on your legs—that we need in these uncertain times. And the good news is that there are plenty to choose from. Have some fun with colors or slightly off-kilter designs (without dipping into "funny sock guy" territory).
