The coolest and most comfortable options to wear right now

Breathable and super-soft French terry sweatpants from Flint and Tinder ($88 / $61.98).

We no longer need to convince you that it’s okay to wear sweatpants out of the house. The athleisure movement already did that. And if the past year taught us anything, it's that these once-reviled athletic pants are perfectly suited for WFH life, weekend adventures and even a quick pickup game at the park. But you probably need a few pairs to rotate through to keep these interesting and looking good. (Hey, just because they're sweats doesn't mean they shouldn't look handsome as hell.)

Now's the time to re-up your sweats rotation, as the weather gets cool and crisp and nothing feels quite as cozy as wrapping your legs in twin tubes of fuzzy jersey fleece or French terry material. The perfect pair is different for everyone, but what you're looking for these days is a pair that's super soft, yet still has some structure. They should be slightly tapered and tailored in a way that complements the length of your legs instead of drowning them in fabric. Pockets are a personal choice, but we think they come in handy.

As for colors, take your pick. Brands both big and small have elevated their palettes to match the heightened styles of these new sweats. So while there are plenty to be found in rich navy and heather grey, there are also cool shades of dusty beige and taupe along with bolder hues to make a statement. We did the legwork to find the best sweats to cover all of your needs. Pick up a pair and then take it easy, man.

A Note on Fit

If you’ve got excess fabric—in the butt, legs or at the hem—have them tailored. It won’t cost much and having them fit just the way you like it, means you’ll wear them even more.
