When Self Edge owner Kiya Babzani dreamed of expanding his store to the East Coast, he teamed up with 3sixteen co-founder Andrew Chen for what seemed like a match made in heaven. 3sixteen would be picked up by Self Edge, and in addition, both brands now had a New York outpost to work out of. Operating out of the city’s Lower East Side, a place rife with garmento tradition, the gritty, urban vibe fits the store’s rugged, anti-fashion aesthetic perfectly. You won’t find designer denim or glitzy runway brands here. Just damn good jeans that will stand the test of time.
Bring in your well-worn jeans and the store will practically recraft holes with a vintage Singer darning machine, a process much more effective than any patch.
